BE A VOICE FOR KIDS
Kids need your voice! The incidence of childhood cancer is steadily increasing. Today 1 in 285 kids will be diagnosed with cancer before they reach the age of 20. Childhood cancer is the #1 disease related killer of kids in the U.S. Despite compelling statistics, the National Institute of Health (NIH) persists in refusing to make childhood cancer research a priority. Please continue to tell the Administration, Congress and the National Institute of Health that childhood cancer research should be a national priority!
Call, write, email your Congressional Representative and Senators and tell them that childhood cancer research should be a priority in the NIH budget.
Your tax dollars fund the NIH budget, use your voice to demand that Congress legislate that NIH significantly invest in childhood cancer research.
Go to house.gov (enter your zip code) and senate.gov (enter your state) to get information on your congressional representatives. Together we can change this picture for kids! Tell Congress that childhood cancer research should be a national priority!
Your tax dollars provide $30+ billion to NIH for research each year. NIH research priorities provide $6 billion to study AIDS, Drug Abuse, Obesity, Alcoholism and Tobacco use — childhood cancer research gets $200 million or less. Kids deserve pediatric cures, treatments and proctocols — be their voice.
